Abel Mathías Hernández Platero (born 8 August 1990) is a Uruguayan professional footballer who plays for English club Hull City and the Uruguay national team as a striker.

He began his career with Central Español and Peñarol, and spent five-and-a-half seasons in Italy with Città di Palermo before joining Hull for a club record £10 million in September 2014.
