Bong Jong-Hoo, now the world's hottest movie director thanks to Parasite's huge success at the Oscars, said recently that he would have one Premier League star at the table for his dream dinner party.

Following his triumph at the Academy Awards on Sunday, when he won four Oscars including Best Picture and Best Director awards for "Parasite," Bong's name is on everyone's lips. And the South Korean auteur's new-found global fame has led to a curious discovery.

Bong hosted a Reddit AMA last NovemberĀ and in it he was asked to name the five people, dead or alive, who he would like to invite to his "last supper."

Perhaps unsurprisingly, the 50-year-old sat fellow Oscar-winning movie directors Alfred Hitchcock and Martin Scorsese around his fantasy table. He also opted for Jimmy Page, legendary guitarist with Led Zeppelin -- his favourite band as a kid -- and Olympic gold-winning figure skater Yuna Kim.

However, Bong also extended a shock invite to one of the Premier League's most prominent stars: Manchester City's Kevin De Bruyne.
